Board Meeting Minutes - October 1, 2001

Present: Dan Cole, Steve Mueller, Allison Russell, Yvette Lokotz, Nancy Braker

Minutes from the last meeting were approved.

Checking balance: $1, 735.42

Columbia County Grant:
We got the grant on behalf of Columbia County to sponsor the work Ken Potter and his students will be doing on the creek.

Newsletter:
Nancy wrote up the newsletter. Will go out at the end of the month along with a membership brochure.

Activities for next 6 months:

February: Native landscaping plant discussion Feb. 21. Nancy and Yvette will coordinate

March: Bluebird house talk/building Mar 14. Allison will coordinate

April: Earth day cleanup April 20. Steve and Dan will coordinate May annual meeing: Frog/Toad discussion. Nancy will coordinate Trail maintenance day should be scheduled for early summer.


Discussion of new board members:
8 names were put on the table. Of those 8, 4 were targeted for us to contact first. They are Ira Kastenberg and Theresa Plenty (Yvette will contact), Don Reddel (Nancy will contact) and Joanne XXX (Robin Rynlander's mom-Steve will contact). Get back to Nancy by Nov. 8 so we can vote on them at our next board meeting.

Brochure mailing:
Brochures will go out after Thanksgiving to all people in the watershed

Committees:
All committee chairpersons should list some activities volunteers can help with in the committee descriptions.

Action Items:
Allison will mail out brochure at end of October to all members
