Board Meeting 1/22/03
Members present: Theresa, Nancy, Allison, Yvette

Allison will investigate putting $3,000 in a higher interest bearing
account.

DNR agreement was signed in January. Proposal sets up the framework for
anything we want to do on the DNR property. We will give them an annual
plan and they will approve it. Now we can also get insurance through the Association of Friends groups. Allison will check into insurance. First we'll have to join the association.

Board members. Ira and Dan are finishing their terms in March. Theresa will no longer be on the board. Currently we have seven members on the board. Ideas for new board members are: Sonia and Jeff Knetter (Nancy will contact), Paula Senkowski (Yvette will contact), Sally Spies (Nancy will contact), heather annuson (Yvette will contact).

Allison will write an article for the paper seeking members and some of the projects we'll be doing in the coming year.

Issue #2: Training at the River Alliance Feb. 15: Ira, Allison, Nancy
and ?? will go. The fee for the training would be $100 unless a quorum
could attend; then it will be free. Perhaps we can get Tony to come.
Nancy will talk with him.

Activities for the next six months:

Nancy will handle the publicity for all events.

The Pioneer Place wants help with their book reading thing. Feb 22. We
could give the money back to Pioneer Place. Steve will do the publicity
and Allison will bake bars and round up others to bake bars.

April 26 - Creek cleanup. Yvette will organize the event.

May 11 flower walk at the Rowan creek trail.

Annual meeting April 23 (tentatively) Lynn Hanson could talk?
Historical society person could talk (millponds?) Think about who might
be a good speaker.

Spring Fling: Allison will order the plants and take care of staffing the booth. This year we can have a rain garden theme. May 17.

Progress on DNR grant. We need to work on the bike trail.
Nancy will talk to Bob and Jeff Knetter. Ira will help with the bike
trail. We need to log our hours.
